@pipe Not sure. That is about a fifth of the yearly car production. So we could multiply all these numbers by 5 to have an even more pessimistic view of full electrification of the transportation industry.

@mmmmmm True, that particular stat seems pretty worthless. The elements though (especially Lithium) seem to show that shifting to electric car production will need vast overhaul of mining and production operations worldwide. I wonder about how possible this shift is and what the environmental consequences are.
