Many of these lists are not per capita and ignore that USA has a population roughly half of all Europe (not to mention that it's considerably more diverse in most places). For example, using https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/26/briefing/guns-america-shooting-deaths.html notice that Finland had 3 where USA had 101. However, Finland population is 1/70th of USA. Adjusting per-capita and this statistic seems to show that mass shootings in Finland are RELATIVELY (based on population) twice as frequent as in USA. Some other points for perspective: https://www.cnn.com/2015/04/02/africa/kenya-university-attack/index.html https://www.cnn.com/2014/12/16/world/asia/pakistan-peshawar-school-attack/index.html https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/26/briefing/guns-america-shooting-deaths.html - "Most shootings in America never appear in national headlines. The majority of gun deaths in 2021 were suicides. Nearly half were homicides that occurred outside mass shootings; they are more typical acts of violence on streets and in homes (and most involve handguns). Mass shootings were responsible for less than 2 percent of last year’s gun deaths." [Including suicides which are almost 2/3 of the gun deaths.] (As far as homicide rate per capita, USA ranks around 59.)
