Nowadays, it would have been quickly closed unless there was evidence that people widely believe that open-plan offices have productivity advantages. I don't think that people widely believe that. The true motivation for open-plan offices is lower costs per square meter, and higher density of employees per square meter. Specifically asking for only examples of productivity improvements is a strawman.
