Dec 3, 2012 at 6:46 comment added Mad Scientist I don't find the link entirely convincing, just calculating how much energy you need to heat water from 0 to 37°C is not enough. One would need to show that the body is actually producing that much more energy when drinking cold water, and doesn't use e.g. excess heat available anyway.
