comment Are any fragments of the True Cross authentic?
Difficult to see how this question can be answered in the affirmative as there is no confirmed physical evidence remaining from Jesus' crucifixion. So the only valid answer I guess would be one that disproves all supposed fragments through carbon dating or other methods, which is highly improbable. So I'm not quite sure this is a valid question.

comment Did Tony Abbott suggest that men might be better suited to leadership positions?
@AndrewGrimm Dunno. But he could at least deny it - and make Gillard look silly for stating something that is false, if it was false. Politicians rarely miss an opportunity to point out factual errors by their opponents

comment Does obstetric ultrasonography (“ultrasound”) impose a significant health risk to the unborn baby?
@Homer6 Agreed, but there are plenty of things that can be found through Obstetric ultrasound. previa is certainly one of them, but things like ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy may be found. Also slow growth of the foetus may also indicate the Mother is not healthy in some way, and something can be clearly done about that. This gives a decent overview ob-ultrasound.net

1998 was earlier internet days so I'm unsure whether you will find much contemporary references on-line to it. Thing is - it's pretty likely he said what is quoted, as it's been said outside parliament and he hasn't challenged or sued about it (from my perspective).

Bit more detail given by Anthony Albanese, but as this reference is also from yesterday it doesn't prove anything. anthonyalbanese.com.au/… Useful information to search with - round table discussion from 1998. Also there is "Michael Costa"

comment Did Pope John Paul II perform a miracle?
I supoose one could find out which doctor Diagnosed her with Parkinsons, and from doctors who may have treated her whilst she was supposedly suffering, and see if there is any testimony there. Would probably not be conclusive proof either way, but would produce extra info.

comment Is Julian Assange “facing charges”?
@KonradRudolph Yeah - I've seen little hard evidence though that it's true for this case. If he can be charged/arrested at this stage of investigation it contradicts what the Swedish prosecutor "as the competent authority) has said (and it also contradics evan harper 's answer).

Added tag that this Question is about a current event. It is possible that Assange may be charged or released from proceedings at some point which means the answers/question may change

comment Is Julian Assange “facing charges”?
@AlanSE If the only reason to "interview" him is because charges and arrest will follow, there really is no point in interviewing him on foreign soil where he can't be charged
