I was watching Prison Break Season 1 with my wife recently and there is a scene where T-Bag is being beaten up by John Abruzzi's thugs. He get's pretty dinged up during the fight.

He is able to talk and plead without any indication that he has anything in his mouth.

After John releases him, he takes a razor blade out of his mouth and slits John's throat.

How is it really possible that he kept the razor in his mouth the whole time, especially without injury. I've read at Yahoo! Answers that it can be done, but in the story by the asker it appears that it was for a relatively short time.

Escape artists do it fairly regularly, are you really skeptical of that? What are you actually skeptical of? – Chad Dec 21 '11 at 17:39

I'm don't think validating the feasibility of events in fictional tv shows or movies is a good use of this site. – NickC Dec 21 '11 at 17:53
@Renesis agreed, unless they "escape" the movies and become stuff people actually assert as true, e.g. many myths about guns. – Sklivvz Dec 21 '11 at 20:20
After watching that video, I can't help but think how glad I am that I stopped watching that show part way through the first season. – Beofett Dec 21 '11 at 21:24

What sort of evidence would it take to convince you that this was possible? What sort of evidence would it take to convince you it was impossible? (I am asking because this question seems unanswerable to me.) – Oddthinking Dec 22 '11 at 9:29
